At Smartlink, our people are at the heart of everything we do. This week, we’re excited to spotlight Ken Hale, a Real Estate Project Manager who has been part of the Smartlink family for over nine years.
Ken’s day-to-day role is a balance of precision and problem-solving. His mornings start with running reports to ensure tasks and financials are current and invoiced on time, keeping projects on track and focused. From there, he dives into action items, juggling the projects he manages and self-performs, always with an eye on meeting deliverables and forecasts.
What Ken loves most about his role is the variety: “We have many customers and projects in multiple markets, so there are always new tasks and programs to learn and figure out.” That variety has led him to some memorable moments. Two projects stand out as his favorites:

Small Cells for the Super Bowl, which combined his love of football with the challenge of high-profile project work.

Implementing a meter on pole for Small Cells, which remains his favorite project because it was the most challenging scope he’s ever completed.
Over nearly a decade at Smartlink, Ken has worked alongside incredible mentors who have shared their knowledge and helped him grow. His biggest takeaway? That great work happens when strong teams come together, focus on the details, and approach challenges with calm determination.
Ken sums it up perfectly: “Over time, I’ve found that great productive work happens with great teams, putting in hard work, and staying calm.”
