Location: Remote, but must reside in Eastern Time Zone

Job Summary: Switch Engineer has 5+ years of relevant experience. Supports internal Field Engineers, general contractors, and tower crews across multiple customers and markets. Proven experience working within Tier 1 critical infrastructure provider networks is a must.
• Interface with multiple proprietary vendor management frameworks including OSS, ENM, CNM, WebEM, USM, NSP, etc.
• Perform upgrades and changes across both RAN and transport equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting support to field engineers during integrations, upgrades, decommissioning, and maintenance tasks.
• Triage and troubleshoot issues across both RAN and transport equipment.
• Experience using multiple databases for the creation of data fills and/or CIQs. I.E. INAM/IPAMs, Granite/CND Circuit Databases, ConQuest, FUZE, etc.
• Generate configuration scripts using both internal and external tools. I.E. IOP, NSP Nokia Service Portal, etc.
• Perform integrations and commissioning on Ericsson/Nokia/Samsung 4G/5G RAN equipment.
• Maintain a customer first attitude and exceed customer expectations and obligations.
• Assist with creating Methods of Procedure and mentor junior team members.
• Responsible for making sure all quality standards are met.

Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. • Strong knowledge and experience with the maintenance and operations of either RAN or carrier ethernet networks.
• Solid understanding and application of standards including TCP/IP, IPv4/6, VLANs, MPLS/VPLS, routing protocols, OSI model, layer 2 and 3 devices, and carrier ethernet architectures.
• Ability to interpret and validate RAN configurations via RFDS.
• Must have strong computer skills using command line interfaces, Microsoft Office suite, Windows and Linux operating systems, CLI and GUI utilities, and serial/LMT management interfaces.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot complex RAN and transport related issues.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, under pressure, and ability to multitask to meet project deadlines.
• Working knowledge of ORAN principals and service splits.
• Nokia SR (TiMOS) certification desired, but not required
• Ciena Carrier Ethernet or SAOS 6/8/10 certifications desired, but not required
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or other certifications desired, but not required
• Ericsson/Nokia/Samsung RAN certifications desired, but not required
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages desired, but not required
• Experience using APIs, JSON, YAML, SQL, or other data exchanges and formats desired, but not required
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Minimal (<10%) travel is required with this position
