Job Summary:
The Data Center Material Logistics Manager is responsible for hands on full lifecycle of material flow and supply-chain operations at the project site. This position develops and executes a comprehensive logistics strategy that ensures all materials—from bulk commodities to highly specialized equipment—are accurately procured, received, tracked, and staged in alignment with fast-paced construction schedules. Applied site-space planning and material-handling optimization, manages vendor and supplier performance, and leads the logistics team in proactively removing bottlenecks that could impact field productivity or project milestones.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a practical comprehensive site logistics strategy, including defined delivery routes, off-loading zones, material-flow paths, and optimized staging areas.
• Lead, supervise, and coach the Data Center Material Logistics Technicians, ensuring consistent adherence to standardized processes for receiving, inventory control, and material distribution.
• Serve as the primary liaison for vendors, suppliers, and freight carriers, coordinating delivery schedules and resolving escalated issues such as shipment discrepancies, delays, or damages.
• Oversee the site’s inventory management system, ensuring complete accuracy between physical inventory and digital records to prevent material shortages, misplacements, or over-procurement.
• Practice based partnering with team members to synchronize material deliveries with the Master Project Schedule and support Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery requirements.
• Manage the logistics budget, including costs associated with material-handling equipment, temporary storage solutions, transportation services, and vendor logistics support.
• Establish and enforce strict safety standards for all material-handling activities, including forklift operations, crane lifts, equipment movement, and hazardous-material storage.
• Analyze logistics performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, or recurring supplier issues, and prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior project leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• 5+ years of experience in construction logistics, warehouse operations, industrial supply-chain management, or similar environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing a diverse logistics team in fast-paced, high-pressure construction or industrial settings.
• Advanced proficiency with Logistics Management Systems (LMS), ERP platforms, and construction technology tools such as Procore or BIM 360 logistics modules.
• Deep understanding of construction materials, lead times, staging requirements, and specialized handling protocols for MEP, structural, and long-lead components.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret logistics data and implement process improvements.
• Strategic Planning: Proven ability to forecast material needs weeks in advance, anticipate site congestion, and align logistics with evolving project schedules.
• Leadership & Accountability: Demonstrated immersive ownership of the full material lifecycle, with the ability to hold internal teams and external vendors to high performance standards.
• Spatial Intelligence: Expert skill in organizing constrained site footprints, optimizing laydown areas, and developing efficient storage and access plans for field crews.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Strong ability to coordinate between procurement teams, vendors, field leadership, and installation crews to ensure seamless material flow.
• Vendor & Contract Management: Skilled in negotiating with suppliers, managing contract terms, and resolving delivery disputes or performance issues.
• Safety Knowledge: Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and experience establishing or enforcing comprehensive material-handling safety programs.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass all required data-center background checks for site access.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
• Significant travel (>70%) is expected in association with performing this position.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and climb ladders or equipment for extended periods.
• Regularly required to lift, carry, and maneuver materials, tools, and equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent work in overhead spaces, raised floor areas, and confined spaces within data-center environments.
• Manual dexterity required for fiber handling, splicing tasks, and use of precision tools.
• Ability to work while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and arc-rated clothing when applicable.
• Work performed in active data centers, construction zones, and equipment rooms with varying noise levels and temperatures.
• Exposure to energized equipment, ladders, lifts, and other standard construction-site conditions.
• Work may involve restricted spaces with controlled airflow, low lighting, or elevated noise from cooling systems.
