We’re looking for a Data Center Site Superintendent to provide on-site leadership for all fiber-optic installation and low-voltage infrastructure activities in active data center environments. You’ll manage daily field operations, coordinate crews, maintain production schedules, and ensure that installation, splicing, testing, and equipment deployment are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with project standards and data-center operational protocols.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct daily briefings, safety meetings, and progress reviews.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and compliance with installation standards.
  • Oversee backbone and distribution fiber installation in trays, conduits, and cable pathways.
  • Supervise high-fiber-count ribbon splicing and related preparations.
  • Ensure Tier-1 and Tier-2 test results meet loss budgets and client requirements.
  • Troubleshoot failed fibers or anomalies and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate installation of racks, cabinets, fiber housings, and cable-management hardware.
  • Verify grounding, bonding, labeling, routing quality, and cabinet alignment.
  • Execute work according to project schedules and critical-path requirements.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and schedule impacts; implement recovery plans.
  • Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and site access needs.
  • Enforce QA/QC requirements, review test data, and manage punch lists.
  • Support MOPs, LOTO, maintenance windows, and strict data-center operational controls.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for managers, clients, and facility teams.
  • Communicate schedule impacts, risks, and resource needs clearly.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in fiber installation, data-center construction, or low-voltage systems.
  • Hands-on proficiency with splicing, OTDR/OLTS testing, routing, and rack/cabinet installation.
  • Strong understanding of data-center security and change-management requirements.
  • Experience supervising field crews or subcontractors.
  • Ability to read drawings, diagrams, rack elevations, and cable schedules.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass required background checks.

Preferred

  • Experience in hyperscale data centers (AWS, Meta, Google, Microsoft).
  • Certifications such as FOA CFOT, BICSI Installer/Technician, OSHA 30.
  • Familiarity with DCIM platforms, ticketing systems, and change-management tools.

Physical Requirements

  • Travel 70%+ depending on project location.
  • Walk, stand, bend, climb, and work for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs; work in overhead spaces and confined areas.
  • Perform precise tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Work in active data halls, construction zones, and variable temperatures.
  • Wear required PPE (glasses, gloves, hard hat, arc-rated gear).
  • Follow strict security and access protocols.
  • Support night, weekend, or off-hour work as needed.

We’re an Equal Opportunity Employer.
