Job Summary:
Smartlink’s Human Resources Department operates at a dynamic pace, supporting the people and talent needed to deliver critical telecommunications, data center, and infrastructure services nationwide. The Recruiter supports the attraction and hiring of talent for technical, data center, field operations, construction, and corporate roles that are critical to Smartlink’s continued growth. Reporting to the Senior Recruiter, this role manages full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, develops candidate pipelines, partners with hiring managers, and delivers a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and resourceful, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationships in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions from requisition intake through offer acceptance and onboarding.
• Handle a diverse requisition load, including field, construction, technical, operational, and corporate positions.
• Partner with the Senior Recruiter and hiring managers to understand position requirements and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Conduct recruiter intake meetings to establish position requirements, qualifications, compensation, work location, interview process, and hiring expectations.
• Develop and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and anticipated hiring needs.
• Utilize sourcing tools, job boards, professional networks, employee referrals, social media, and other recruiting resources to identify qualified candidates.
• Conduct targeted outreach to both active and passive candidates and build relationships with prospective talent.
• Review resumes and applications, conduct recruiter screens, assess candidates against established requirements, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the selection process.
• Provide candidates with a professional and positive experience while representing Smartlink’s culture and employment opportunities.
• Partner with hiring managers throughout the selection process and communicate candidate feedback, recruiting activity, and hiring challenges.
• Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition information in the applicant tracking system and other recruiting platforms.
• Track recruiting activity, pipeline progress, interviews, offers, and hiring outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve sourcing strategies, recruiting processes, candidate experience, and overall recruiting efficiency.
• Stay informed about recruiting trends, sourcing techniques, labor market conditions, and talent acquisition technology.
• Support employment branding, career fairs, networking events, and other recruiting initiatives as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of candidate and employee information and comply with applicable employment laws, company policies, and professional standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Recruiter and Human Resources team to support overall recruiting goals and priorities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve recruiting issues, maintain professional, ethical, and company standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
• Experience managing multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience recruiting for technical, field, construction, skilled labor, operational, or corporate positions.
• Strong sourcing and candidate pipeline-building skills.
• Ability to identify and engage both active and passive candidates through a variety of sourcing methods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with hiring managers to understand position requirements and identify qualified candidates.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms to manage candidates and requisitions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the Senior Recruiter and Human Resources team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive candidate and employee information.
• Working knowledge of recruiting practices and applicable employment laws, including equal employment opportunity requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business and recruiting technology platforms.
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Bullhorn, or similar sourcing and applicant tracking platforms is preferred.
• Experience recruiting within telecommunications, data centers, construction, utilities, infrastructure, or related industries is preferred.
• Experience working with operations, technical, or field-based hiring managers is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Primarily sedentary work, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to conduct virtual and in-person interviews, which may involve occasional standing or walking.
• May require light lifting of office materials, such as laptops, files, or recruiting materials, up to 15 pounds.
• Occasional travel may be required for career fairs, networking events, or onsite hiring support.
• May involve extended hours during peak hiring periods or to accommodate different time zones.
• Work involves confidential and sensitive information, requiring discretion and professionalism.
